Today we are excited to announce Sococo’s new integration with Amazon.

Our next software release will replace existing media infrastructure with enterprise communications solution Amazon Chime.

With the majority of our user feedback focused on audio, video, screen share quality and reliability, improving the Sococo media experience has been our top focus. Chime runs on the AWS Cloud and is easily able to handle peak usage for companies of all sizes. With Chime, which uses cutting edge WebRTC technology, we now can offer 16 simultaneous video streams, two screen shares and up to 250 participants natively in the product.

The update will also bring a reinvention of the Sococo user interface and media display. Combining Amazon Chime’s robust technology with this modern look and feel will provide a better user experience for your team’s collaboration. Users are not required to have an Amazon Chime account, and you will still have the option of using Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.

And we are not done yet – we continue to improve the usability of built-in features and expand 3rd party integrations in future releases to drive engagement and productivity for your team.

We’re also pleased to announce that beginning in July, we are increasing the media limits to 500 minutes per month per seat in an organization. As always, users can view their team’s usage and purchase additional minutes in the Sococo admin settings.

We are as committed as ever to our vision of Sococo as a horizontal platform, allowing users to plug in more and more of their own audio, video and collaboration tools. We look forward to helping all teams navigate remote work and effective collaboration through 2020 and beyond.
